Once the infusion solution is prepared, a nurse will insert a thin plastic catheter into your vein to deliver the necessary substances into your bloodstream.
A single dose takes 30-90 minutes (depending on the option prescribed), and you will have 3-5 doses, mostly at several daily or daily-weekly intervals.
